Hello and welcome all! My name is P. A. Wilson, and I am a writer, reader, gamer, and genealogist.
When it comes to writing, my main focus is middle grade fantasy, while my short stories lean light sci-fi and dystopian. My poetry is inspired by my crazy life and by other topics such as mythology.
As for reading, I am pretty well-rounded, reading all genres and all ages. My favorites are cozy or epic fantasies and graphic novels, but I will occasionally dip my toe into dark waters and read horror. My favorite book at the moment is Mistborn: The Alloy of Law by Brandon Sanderson.
As for gaming, I am mostly a board gamer. I have found Board Game Arena, an online gaming website, a good way to keep up with friends and my girlfriend. However, I also play games in-person and go to game days and conventions. Some of my favorite board games include Terraforming Mars, Wingspan, Odin, Sea Salt & Paper, and King of Tokyo.
My genealogy has been more on the back burner lately, but I have gotten hundreds of years back on some of the roots of my family tree. I have a deep love of old documents such as census records and death certificates. Recently, I have been volunteering at the genealogy department at my local library, where I am helping with everything from dusting to looking up obituaries on the microfiche machine to cataloging employee cards from the Standard Steel Company.
This blog/online portfolio will reflect my interests, including reviews and analysis of books, movies, and shows (especially anime). I will use my unique lens as a neurodivergent queer person to give my take on various topics.
My current writing projects is as follows:
Chronicles of the Ageless: The Prophecy follows the journey of four “heroes” who must decide whether or not to obey their master, a sentient force called the Phi whose life energy is inextricably connected with their own. If they follow its prophecies, they risk losing their identities and becoming its pawns forever, but resistance means risking its wrath—and fighting a battle no one has won before. Their story is narrated by a spy forced to recount the heroes’ journey, whose power to read minds offers omniscience but not answers, whose obsession with mortal snack foods and self-destruct buttons could have terrible consequences, and whose passive aggressiveness knows no bounds…
Thank you for visiting my website, and I hope you enjoy what I have written!
